HISTORY OF THE HOLIDAY

Historical records show that two years after the king Rosululloh migrated from Makkah to Madinah, he received a revelation commands fasting, exactly what happened in the month of Sha'ban 2 AH or 623 AD the month and year in which the letter al Baqoroh verse 183 was revealed. Indeed Allah SWT has set for you with two better than the previous two (Nairuz and Nahrajam) Idhul the feast of Fitr and Adha feast Idhul.
